A criminal complaint filed Thursday in Albany City Court accuses former Governor Andrew Cuomo of forcibly groping a lady at the Executive Mansion late last year.
In the late afternoon of December 7, 2020, the Albany Country Sheriff’s Office filed a complaint in Albany City Court alleging the governor of reaching under a woman’s blouse and grasping her left breast. A rumored event that contributed to Cuomo’s resignation as governor in August.
The complaint was filed by Investigator Amy Kowalski assured Cuomo was accused of ‘knowingly and purposefully’ committing the offense of forceful contact, a class A misdemeanor.
Last summer after the Attorney General’s Office appointed investigators who discovered he had engaged in unlawful sexual harassment the governor resigned.
Following that case, a criminal summons was issued for him to appear in court on November 17 at 2:30 p.m.
In a copy of the complaint supplied by the state Office of Court Administration, the victim’s identity was deleted, but she has previously publicly identified herself as Brittany Commisso, 33, an executive assistant to the governor.
