The note was phony delivered by Stephen Port who needed to cover his tracks. The dad of Daniel told legal hearers he never affirmed the self destruction note found was composed by his child.
Whitworth and Waumsley stayed in contact consistently through text when they were separated. Their messages would have filled in as key proof to where Daniel was when Gabriel’s body had been found.
Legitimate checks weren’t finished by the police division. Assuming it had been done, it would have been evident that Daniel was not even close to Barking when Gabriel’s body was found. In 2015, it was found that officials had not DNA-tried the bedsheet or the medication bottles.
