Adam Gray is an American politician currently serving in the California State Assembly. He is a Democrat representing the 21st district, encompassing all of Merced County and portions of Stanislaus County. Prior to being elected to the state assembly, he managed a small public affairs and communications firm and claimed to be a lecturer at the University of California, Merced. Although, the UC Chancellor's office stated he was only a course tutor and not a faculty member or a lecturer at the school.It was reported in July 2013 that Gray had been subpoenaed to testify in the federal investigation involving the public corruption charges against state Sen. Ron Calderon, D-Montebello.
